ABSTRACT

Pandemic Covid-19 has had an impact not only on health aspects but also on the economy of Indonesia, both from demand and supply. Problems in Indonesia's government, such as the lack of medical equipment and supporting facilities in handling Covid-19 pandemics, have triggered the need for a sudden (urgent/emergency). On the other hand, there are still many distributor companies that have no experience in handling emergencies. One of the impacts is the delivery of goods that are not on time /late. To solve the problem, this study aims to get a process business in a distributor company with more effective and efficient processes by involving intercompany to increase the timeliness of delivery to customers. We propose using BPR (Business Process Reengineering) and simulation to model and analyze the current process and redesign the repair process. The results were obtained, with the average procurement of goods decreased by 46%. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The work from home, learning from home regulation and other outside activity restriction made the people should stay at home longer than usual due to the covid-19 outbreak. The environmental conditions at home, especially in urban communities that are mostly densely residential areas affected the air quality of the living environment. The modern home's structure in urban has a less indoor air circulation. The bad indoor air quality may cause other health problem, especially when people should stay at home during a longer period. This paper, designed and implemented a monitoring box that may measure several air quality parameters, i.e. temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon monoxide (CO) level. The air quality information in the monitoring box may become a smart health solution that informs the people about the air quality in their room especially during covid-19. The results show that the air quality monitoring device for smart health solution work properly. The average error rate for temperature is 0.90%, humidity 2.37%, CO is 14.21% and CO2 is 12.07%. Therefore, the accuracy of the temperature is 99.1%, humidity is 97.63%, CO is 85.79% and the CO2 is 87.93%. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unexpected challenges in all sectors of life, from the social, economical to health sectors, particularly public health. One of the most worrying effects of COVID-19 is the increase in cases of domestic violence. AIM: This scoping review was to determine trends in domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic and strategies for handling it. METHODS: We searched for relevant articles on four databases (PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and EBSco) in English, published in 2019–2021. Of the 434 articles identified, six articles met the inclusion criteria. RESULTS: There were six themes we got related to domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely: The number of cases of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic;risk factors for domestic violence;victims and perpetrators of domestic violence;types of domestic violence;the impact of domestic violence;and strategies for handling domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. CONCLUSION: The COVID-19 pandemic impacted domestic violence cases, where most victims were women, and most of them experienced recurrent domestic violence. Therefore, we recommend that future research be examined deeper into the understanding, experiences, and needs of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the roles of cross-sectors and obstacles experienced in handling domestic violence in the future. © 2021 Luluk Rosida, Intan Mutiara Putri, Komarudin Komarudin, Nurbita Fajarini, Endang Koni Suryaningsih.

ABSTRACT

Symptoms with a body temperature above 37,5°C can be categorized as suspected of covid-19. Therefore, rapid body temperature may be used as early screening of covid-19 suspect. Many location use staff equipped with thermometer gun for screening the visitor body temperature. This scenario has drawbacks since there is closed contact between staff and visitor within body temperature screening which may cause the spread of the virus. This paper present low cost non-contact rapid body temperature screening using a thermal camera that integrate with barrier gate. Therefore, there is no staff needed for body temperature screening since visitor may check their body temperature independently. For visitors who are detected as having a body temperature ≤ 37.5°C, system will count as covid-19 suspect and the barrier gate will not open. The visitor with body temperature below 37.5°C will considered as normal and the system will open the barrier gate. The results show the the proposed system work properly for visitor body temperature screening with the accuracy is 98,75%. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Global aviation has experienced many crises in the past, each of which has had a significant impact on air traffic. After each fall, the industry recovers and returns stronger, exceeding the previous volume of traffic;however, the COVID-19 pandemic presents a new level of concern, with unknown detrimental effects. The airlines, airports and all other partners involved have greatly suffered. The airport system has been hit by flight closures in many markets, including Indonesia. Airport management and operating companies, concessionaires, terminal tenants, ground handling and catering companies, and the various partners involved are under stress and financial constraints due to the pandemic. In response to this, the flight plan for the "new normal" takes into account the new flight demand and airline market structure scenarios. By using the qualitative approach, this research tries to construct recovery models and strategies for the Indonesian aviation industry post-pandemic. Results show several scenarios, classified as optimistic, moderate, and conservative for the recovery of the industry. This requires the construction of a business model through the V-shape, U-shape, Prolonged U-shape, L-shape and W shape. In striving for the recovery of the aviation industry, three strategies are needed: survival, growth and sustainability.
